Summer Vacation

A very unfortunate event occured right before we left for our trip to Utah. We discovered that the little troll in our house that randomly steals things and hides them in a far off land had run off with our camera. This troll is responsible for several missing receipts, clothes, electronics, keys, phones, and various other pricey items over the past 5 years. Hopefully he isn't making a killing off of us on EBAY. Anyway, because of this we don't have any pictures of our fantastic time with the Lewis family. We eventually bought a new camera while in Utah but missed the oppurtunity to capture the great times we spent in Midway and home with cousins. Here is a brief literary summary: Alyssa, Ben and I had the great pleasure of meeting our new niece, Kate. At a mere 3 weeks old we got to snuggle her, kiss her, and keep her far away from a very interested Alyssa. To distract her, Alyssa had sweet girly cousins (Bree and Ally) that played tirelessly with her but riding bikes, drawing with sidewalk chalk, and demolishing Nana and Papa's library where they keep all of the toys.
We then headed up to Midway and stayed at the Curtis "Cottage"--A 10 bedroom and like 8 bathroom house in midway. Here we enjoyed swimming, riding bikes, golfing, shopping, and the ever popular Golf cart ride around the neighborhood. We all had a fantastic time laughing with each other and watching all of the grandkids (without the Hatch family--so sad) get to know each other better.
After coming home from Midway, we watched as Sara and Stewart packed up for their move to California. And we sadly waved goodbye as they started their new adventure in Dental school with three small girls. That brings us up to our new camera!




Ben, Andrew and I took Alyssa to the BYU Botany Pond to feed the ducks. She had a great time!
